Friday 25 march, 2 years after being appointed as the designers of this mayor state-wide arts event, the festival finally kicks of for its ten days celebration of the arts and culture across the length and breadth of this fascinating Island, Tasmania.— 'Ten Days on the Island' is a bi-annual arts festival in Tasmania. A unique cultural state wide event, bringing together local and international artists and performers from island cultures around the world exhibiting across the length and breadth of Tasmania. After an extensive pitching process in August 2009 Toko was appointed the festival designers of 2011.
For the festival we developed a versatile and dynamic identity based on the juxtaposition of the arts and nature. We inherited the logo of the previous festival which we altered to match the new visual direction.Tasmania's unique and pristine nature and the diversity of the festival take centre stage in the colourful and sometimes dramatic collateral, so is the festival logo, always dead centre (representing Tasmania as the centre of the art world for these ten days).
